The Pon Your Tone music collective has released a new single from Indonesian rapper Matter Mos, “Woosah”.

The single features renowned musician Candra Darusman, who also composed the song with DJ and producer Dipha Barus along with accomplished jazz musicians Nikita Dompas and Adra Karim.

On “Woosah”, Matter Mos and Dipha emphasize the importance of thinking calmly in our daily lives. It goes hand in hand with a campaign initiated by the Pon Your Tone collective that aims to spread kindness through music and visual works.

The song was inspired by “Dunia di Batas Senja” (The World at the Edge of Afternoon), a song written by Candra and released by Chaseiro band in 1981.

Candra is a respected Indonesian composer. A member of jazz bands Chaseiro and Karimata in the 1980s, Candra was the initiator of Jazz Goes to Campus. The music festival has been held annually at the University of Indonesia (UI) since 1978.

Matter Mos previously worked with Dipha Barus on “Decide”, a single released by Ramengvrl and A. Nayaka. The song was named the Best Hip-Hop Collaboration at the Indonesian Music Awards (AMI) in 2018.
