Indonesian online marketplace Blibli is holding Festival Nasi Online (Online Rice Festival) Blibli X Tirta Lie until Oct. 28.

Collaborating with 70 local restaurants, the festival offers 250 rice dishes with more than 1,000 side dishes of halal and non-halal selections.

In a press release, Blibli's senior vice president of merchant sales, development and operations Geoffrey L. Dermawan said that the idea to create the festival came following the success of its previous food festival.

In August, the marketplace held Festival Mie Online (Online Noodle Festival), which featured 1,000 noodle dishes and 101 restaurants.

“The festival can also support small and medium enterprises in the culinary business so they can keep selling their products on our platform,” Geoffrey said.

To join the festival, customers can access the special page of Festival Nasi Online Blibli X Tirta Lie on Blibli's website or app. Ready-to-eat meals can be purchased and will be sent via couriers that provide contactless service.

Festival Nasi Online is a collaboration between Blibli and food blogger Tirta Lie, who curated the festival's menu.

“[The restaurants] are excited to be able to stay in business and present their best dishes to the customers,” Tirta said.

The festival offers promotional discounts in collaboration with banks such as BRI, Citibank, DBS and CIMB, as well as e-money providers GoPay and Sakuku. (gis/wng)
