lton John and Mattel created a special edition Barbie doll to honor his iconic 1975 Dodgers Stadium concerts in Los Angeles in the United States.

The two shows were the largest concert events by a single artist at the time, according to John’s official website.

The toy company announced the doll’s release on Twitter last Thursday, Oct. 22 alongside photos of the new figure.

“Pop Star. Icon. Rocket Man,” the account dedicated to the doll said. “#Barbie pays tribute to the legendary @eltonofficial’s extraordinary career, in celebration of 45 years since his decade-defining performance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.”

The new toy wears a glittery silver top below a colorful bomber jacket that is embossed with “Elton” on its front. It also sports flare denim pants embellished with the singer’s initials, a purple bowler hat, pink sunglasses and rainbow shoes.

“Barbie is an icon in her own right, so having her pay tribute to my work and personal style is a real [honor],” John later said on his own page.

“I hope that she inspires fans everywhere to fearlessly pursue their own dreams and limitless potential,” he added.

Prior to getting his own Barbie doll, highlights from John’s life were immortalized in the 2019 biographical musical film Rocketman. It featured Kingsman: The Secret Service star Taron Egerton as the Grammy-winning singer.
