oach has announced its collaboration with Indonesian artists Abenk Alter and Ykha Amelz in its iconic, limited edition Art of Signature collection.

The collection features the brand’s signature patterns in bright, color-blocked bags adorned with the artists’ original artworks. Items included in the collection are camera bags, campus backpacks, academy packs and academy backpacks.

With the similarities in Abenk's art and Coach's main characters, “classic but playful and optimistic”, the artist created a dinosaur figure holding a flower for the collection. “I have my own series called Floral of the Future, where my artwork depicts people sharing happiness and hope [which are] symbolized by flowers,” Abenk said in a statement. “I hope that anyone who uses this Coach bag receives a positive message.”

Ykha features Babbot, a popular character of hers inspired by her French bulldog. Other characters of Ykha include Mr. T-Rex, Botzilla, Monday and Sunday. Echoing its name, the latter is a character inspired by clouds bearing a cheerful, relaxing, outgoing and friendly personality.

“As far as I can remember, I’ve always loved to draw clouds. It felt like pure freedom to draw the shapes and colors of them,” said Ykha. “The motif behind this one for Coach is Sunday enjoying a day of blowing bubble gum. Life is already pretty tough and strange nowadays, hopefully seeing Sunday can remind people of a bright sky.”

The collection is available at Coach’s outlet in Senayan City shopping mall in South Jakarta with prices ranging from Rp 5.9 million (US$ 424) to Rp 11.9 million. Orders can also be placed via the brand’s delivery service, Coach on Delivery, or contact Coach’s advisor via WhatsApp (+62813-8270-1860) for more information.

Established in 1941, Coach has teamed up with prominent celebrities, including American singer-actor Selena Gomez and Japan-based model-actor Kiko Mizuhara for special edition collections. (wir/wng)
