More than a century ago in 1910, Oo Tjong Han established Temanggung's first cigar factory, Rizona. The factory was built to ensure a supply of cigars for the top Dutch colonial officers there. After a century this factory is still being maintained by the third generation of the Oo family, which is now led by Mulyadi Hartono. Nowadays the factory produces up to 3,000 cigars monthly. They are manually crafted by the skilled hands of the workers, who are mostly women. [evi]
