Hours of torrential rainfall on Monday inundated areas of Sukabumi regency, West Java and Jakarta. In Sukabumi, flood waters inundated dozens of houses, forcing people to take shelter. Authorities have warned of potential continuous heavy rains over the course of this week as a result of the transition period from dry to wet season and an unstable atmospheric phenomenon.
