A life-size robot from Japanese anime series Gundam was publicly revealed on Nov. 30 to attract tourists as well as to celebrate the iconic Japanese anime's 40th anniversary. The 18-meter tall robot is showcased at the Gundam Factory Yokohama, a tourist attraction in Yokohama city, Japan, that will open on Dec. 19. “I hope this will lead to stimulating tourism demand and revitalizing local areas,” chief Cabinet secretary Katsunobu Kato told a news conference.
