Ismanto, a 53-year-old artist from Magelang, Central Java, has shown that everyone has their role to play during the COVID-19 outbreak in the country. He has not hesitated in giving artwork away in exchange for staple foods that he donates to people in need. Hundreds of families have benefitted from his generosity, and hundreds more may follow as the artist plans to continue to trade his art to support the livelihoods of others.
