The government announced on Wednesday that it had officially disbanded the Islam Defenders Front (FPI), which is widely known for its unilateral sweeping and provocations. The disbandment came only weeks after the arrival of FPI leader Rizieq Shihab to the country on Nov. 10 and the death of six FPI members during an alleged altercation with the police earlier this month.
