or her holidays, television personality Donna Agnesia usually travels abroad with her husband, actor-presenter Darius Sinathrya, and their three children.

“Both Darius and I like going to countries with temperate climates because we like to get some snow for the Christmas holidays. We try to go overseas every year.

That’s why we work hard and save our money for vacations. We plan our vacations ahead, maybe six months before we leave. And we book our tickets early, so get
the best deals.

This year we are planning to visit Switzerland. Darius’ family are there, and some of them want to see our children. So this trip will be perfect for us to introduce our kids to them. We also plan to have a short trip to Spain in November for a soccer match. It’s Barcelona versus Real Madrid. But this is still just a plan.

We haven’t got the tickets to go there or to the match.

“When traveling, I don’t take many clothes, because I end up shopping for more clothes wherever I go.

But I never forget to take my jeans and flats, as we usually walk a lot. Some of things we take overseas end up not being used, like the fur boots I left at my sister’s house in the Netherlands. For shopping, my favorite travel destination is Bangkok.

“If we are headed to a far-flung country like South Africa, I start packing two months in advance. So by the time we leave, we’re not in a rush. We try to take only one suitcase when we leave, because we like to buy souvenirs and usually get new luggage on the way home. Our children have their own luggage though. The most important thing about luggage is that can carry a lot. I usually go for canvas luggage, not the hard cases.”
