elatives of Nudin, aka Bondan, who was shot and killed by the National Police's Densus 88 Antiterror Detachment, said Nudin was possibly tortured by police before he died and they would bring the case to the National Commission on Human Rights in Jakarta.

According to Nudin's mother, Zaenab, when she opened Nudin's shroud after his body was returned from the Bhayangkara Police Hospital, she found three gunshot wounds in the right thigh, stomach and chest.

'Nudin also had a swollen eye, his face was covered in bruises, his neck appeared broken and there were several stab wounds. They tortured my son. He was treated like an animal, very inhumanely,' said Zaenab.

A local religious figure involved in the Malino peace pact in Poso, Ustad Adnan Arsal, expressed his regret over the Densus 88 action for shooting and killing Nudin, which had caused public anger and disappointment. He said the community in Poso had lost its trust in the police.

Poso Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Susnadi said Nudin was shot because he resisted arrest. As evidence, Nudin was holding a pistol with six rounds of ammunition.
