amidah and Rosyidi, the biological parents of Engeline Margret Megawe (not Angeline as previously reported), the 8-year-old Bali girl whose body was discovered after she was missing for nearly a month, arrived at Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday.

They met the forensic team of the hospital to arrange the sending of Engeline's body back to their hometown of Banyuwangi, East Java.

Rosyidi confirmed that Engeline's body would be transported to Banyuwangi for burial. "Yes, the body will be transported to Banyuwangi for burial under Muslim procedure," he said as quoted by kompas.com.

The morgue, where Engeline's body was laid, was bustling with the arrivals of many visitors, including representatives from the Bali provincial administration, Denpasar City Administration and Banyuwangi regency.

Other visitors included lawyers of the victim.

While processing the sending of the body in the forensics room, Hamidah and Rosyidi had brought with them a recommendation letter from investigators.

The investigators issued a DNA test proving that Engeline was the biological daughter of Hamidah and Rosyidi. (hhr)(+++)
