Former Dutch soccer coach and soccer star Ruud Gullit will visit Ambon, Indonesia, in early September, an official says.

Ambon mayor Richard Louhenapessy said on Friday that Gullit would inspire to the local youth who love playing soccer.

'€œRuud Gullit will come to Ambon on Sept. 1. He will give a coaching clinic to the local soccer team,'€ Richard said, as quoted by kompas.com.

Richard added that his administration had coordinated with the star'€™s manager in preparation for his upcoming arrival.

He hoped that the local soccer team could take advantage of Gullit'€™s visit to improve their skills.

Prior to Gullit'€™s visit, the city will also welcome a soccer team from the Netherlands. The team'€™s players are Maluku descendants, who live in the Netherlands.

During the visit, the team will play against a local soccer club in a friendly match. (ika)(+++)
