usinessman Hilmi Panigoro has been reappointed as the president director of oil and gas company PT Medco Energi Internasional after handing over the position to Lukman Mahfoedz in 2008.
Medco's extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on Wednesday approved the appointment of Hilmi, who previously served as the firm's president commissioner. To replace Hilmi's position, the shareholders elected Muhammad Lutfi. Medco also maintained the position of Marsillam Simandjuntak as independent commissioner and appointed Bambang Subianto to replace Gustiaman Deru for the same position.
Meanwhile, the publicly listed company announced on Tuesday that it had inked a facility agreement worth AU$200 million (US$145 million) with Bank ANZ Indonesia, Bank DBS Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, Standard Chartered Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to fund its upstream gas project at the Senoro Toili Blok PSC in Central Sulawesi.
