B

andung is a significant cultural hub in Indonesia. Located approximately 140 kilometers southeast of Jakarta, Bandung can be easily accessed via the Cipularang toll road, which takes around two hours, depending on traffic. Since becoming operational in 2005, the toll road has been a major transportation route from Jakarta to Bandung, offering shorter traveling times than by train (approximately 3.5 hours). The road also plays a significant role in the development of nearby industrial areas such as Bekasi and Karawang.

The Cipularang highway stretches through mountainous areas and offers breath-taking views. If you travel from Jakarta to Bandung via this highway, you will be treated to beautiful scenery and several bridges that connect the highway. If you are driving yourself, you have to be careful when you are passing km 90 to km 100 due to many accidents along this 10 km section — most probably due to the negligence of the drivers and crosswinds.

When you arrive in Bandung, there are several possible exits to enter Bandung city center. Pasteur gate is the most preferable exit because it’s closer to the city center, which offers many great restaurants and entertainment spots. Traveling from Jakarta to Bandung via Cipularang is very convenient to spend a wonderful weekend in Bandung. Have a nice weekend.
