xecutives from Indofood Sukses Makmur officially submitted an application with the Taxation Directorate General in Jakarta on Friday to participate in the tax amnesty program.
They were led by Indofood director Franciscus Welirang who offered to report his personal assets. However, he has only declared his assets and has not applied to repatriate his assets.
"I have submitted my personal tax documents along with other executive managers who will also participate in this program," he said after completing the filing process.
However, Indofood president director Anthoni Salim did not visit the tax office. "I came to represent Mr. Anthoni as well as the company," Franciscus said.
He added that Anthoni had also filed for asset repatriation. He declined to mention the value. (ags)
