T

he last woman in Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT), Tini Susanti Kaduku, alias Umi Farel, the wife of Ali Kalora, was arrested by Operation Tinombala Task Force in Moengko Lama village, Poso Kota, Poso regency in Central Sulawesi on Tuesday.

Information from the task force revealed a tip off last week that led to the arrest. Tini was hiding in a house in Moengko Lama.

On Tuesday, the task force came to the house and confirmed that Tini was inside. They negotiated with the residents and arrested Tini, who was in a bedroom, without any fight. She was brought to the Poso Police station and was later sent to the Central Sulawesi Police station.

Operation Tinombala spokesperson Adj. Sr. Comr. Hari Suprapto said Tini was possibly pregnant, so before reaching the Central Sulawesi Police station, she would undergo a health check up in Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Palu. “We suspect she is pregnant,” Hari said.

Tini had followed her husband Ali Kalora along with other MIT members, led by the late Santoso.

With Tini arrested, all women in MIT have been arrested. Previously, the task force arrested Santoso’s wife and Basri’s wife. The task force is still hunting for 10 terror suspects all of whom are male. (evi)
