View all search resultshe Medan Immigration Office on Tuesday questioned four Chinese nationals who were arrested in Besitang village in Langkat regency, North Sumatra, on suspicions of illegal business and staying permit violations.
The four Chinese nationals were identified as YZ, 47, CZ, 44, C, 41, and LQ, 43.
The head of the Medan Immigration Office, Midran Dylan, said the four were allegedly conducting various business deals in Langkat without the appropriate visas.
“We are collecting the evidence to confirm the allegations,” Midran said.
Immigration official Andri Guntur said his office received information from locals who got suspicious of their activities. They were arrested on Dec. 21 in Besitang village while planning to invest in areca nut cultivation in Langkat.
“We arrested them based on the suspicions of illegal business and permit violations,” Andri said. (evi)
