he Transportation Ministry says it will revoke the flying licenses of two foreign pilots of Susi Air, an airline owned by Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti, if they test positive for drugs.
The ministry’s airworthiness and aircraft operation director, Muzaffar Ismail, said his side was waiting for the final laboratory results from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
“If the results are positive, we will revoke [their licenses],” he said over the phone on Thursday.
The ministry has temporarily grounded the pilots pending the lab results.

The pilots’ preliminary tests indicated they had used drugs. They underwent a random urine check at Tunggul Wulung Airport in Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday.
They were then flown to Jakarta to be further assessed by the BNN, with the results expected to come out next week.
The ministry previously revoked the license of former budget carrier Citilink pilot Capt. Tekad Purna for being deemed unfit and violating air regulations, after passengers accused him of being drunk while on duty on Dec. 28. (tas)
