he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said on Wednesday that Home Ministry officials would be present as witnesses in the second hearing into the e-ID card case. The hearing is scheduled to be held on Thursday at the Jakarta Corruption Court.

“[On Thursday] we will delve into the budgeting aspects [of the e-ID case]. There will be witnesses from the Home Ministry at tomorrow’s hearing,” said Febri Diansyah, a spokesperson with the KPK.

Febri also confirmed that there would be eight witnesses in Thursday’s hearing, but declined to give details to the press on their identity.

Earlier, the antigraft body slapped a travel ban on several witnesses related to the case and the two defendants, former Home Ministry officials Irman and Sugiharto. Among the witnesses who have been banned from traveling abroad are Isnu Edhi Wijaya, the former chairman of State Printing Company Consortium, Anang Sugiana, the director of Quadra Solution – a company that allegedly received bribes in the case, and Andi Agustinus, aka Andi Narogong, who was a supplier in the Rp 5.9 billion project.
