resident Joko Widodo will visit Batam, Riau Islands and Central Tapanuli regency, North Sumatra as part of a work trip on Thursday accompanied by his wife, First Lady Iriana.
The President will observe the development of Sei Gong Dam in Batam. During his trip, he will also distribute non-cash social aid to people in Galang district, Batam. The aid will be provided through Indonesia Smart Cards, the Family Hope Program and Indonesia Health Cards. Food will also be distributed.
Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to leave Batam after lunch. He will then fly to Central Tapanuli regency in North Sumatra.

The President is also accompanied by Health Minister Nila Moeloek, Culture and Education Minister Muhadjir Effendy and Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki. (rdi/jun)
