Actor Tarra Budiman feels he has a similar character to Jano, the role he has to play in his upcoming movie Berangkat! (Go).

“Jano is such a loser. He can’t communicate with others. His friends are only Juana and Dika,” he said as quoted by kompas.com in Jakarta.

During the casting process, he said the film’s director, Naya (Anindita), noticed his lack of confidence, just like Jano.

He said he had no problems getting into character and it was a challenge for him to star in a comedy film.

“Basically, the problem is that I can’t throw jokes around. In terms of humor, I’m at the lowest level. When others are joking around, I can’t fit in,” Tarra says.

“During rehearsal we were joking around but once the filming started, it was harder.”

He hopes his film will be a commercial success when it hits the theatres.

“My target is not too high. At least 600,000 viewers. Then we can have the second [film]. That’s according to the producer,” he says.
