Visitors are allowed to experience shootings with the 9mm GT2 Combat handgun, which is able to fire a bullet at a speed of 380 kilometers per second.
"The Indonesian Army has succeeded in being ranked champions in several competitions in the country and overseas because of this high-tech gun," Pindad spokesman Ami Marlinawati said on the sidelines of the IBDexpo 2017 in Jakarta, as quoted by antaranews.com on Thursday.

The simulator provides visitors with safety equipment, such as goggles, ear buds and bullet-proof vests, to try their hand at firing a gun.
The 7-meter-long firing range simulator also features high-safety soundproof and bulletproof facilities, she added.
"People were willing to line up just to try out the shooting simulator. They wanted to experience the thrill of firing a live bullet three times," said Marlinawati.
Agus Kurniawan, a visitor, told his experience of trying out the GT2 handgun. "The gun's range was excellent," Kurniawan told Antara News.
At the IDBexpo, Pindad is showcasing several weapons aside from the GT2 Combat handgun, such as the GT2 Elite gun and the new Richmond S22 SAS sniper rifle. The company is also exhibiting some combat vehicles, such as the Canon 20 and the double-cabin Komodo. (bbn)
