fter playing in three movies, singer Sheryl Sheinafia wants to focus on the business in which she made her name.

“I have starred in three movies. Now, I want to focus primarily on my music,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.

Previously, Sheryl played in Galih & Ratna, Koala Kumal (Dingy Koala) and The Underdog. Her reason for taking film roles was simple. She believed that her career in the movie industry would help her improve her musical career.

“In the entertainment industry, if we’re only involved in one particular job, we won’t be able to see the entertainment world holistically,” Sheryl said, adding that in the future she would still be open to job offers from the movie industry.

She admitted that the production of her second album, II, was interrupted by her big-screen activities, but it did not prevent her from finishing the album.

“At that time my schedule was really tight so that I had little time to pay attention to my new album. After the filming was done, I finished my album within two months,” she said.
