Indonesian-born Maharasyi Hansa has passed her blind audition for the 13th season of renowned American singing competition The Voice.

In front of a star-studded panel of judges comprising Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus, Maharasyi belted out “Tell Me Something Good” by Rufus and Chaka Khan.

Hudson was the first to press the red button and turn her chair around to see Maharasyi, but it didn’t take long for Cyrus to follow suit.

“Oh my God, my name is Maharasyi,” the aspiring singer exclaimed after her performance.

Backstage, Maharasyi’s family watched in excitement as seen on The Voice’s official YouTube channel, kompas.com reported.

Hudson said she was impressed by Maharasyi’s outstanding vocals and compared her to Chaka Khan. Throwing in some constructive criticism, she added that Maharasyi still lacked the courage to tackle the high notes at the end of the song.

“I’m going to pick coach Jennifer,” Maharasyi said to a delighted Hudson.
