eavy rain over the weekend in Depok, West Java, is believed to have caused a landslide on Jl. Rambutan in Pancoran Mas district at around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, which damaged one house.

The residents of the house, identified as the Jamaluddin family, were uninjured as the damage was restricted to the rear of the building.

“Jamaluddin along with his wife and children, survived and they are currently staying at their neighbor’s house,” said Sulaeman, one of Jamaluddin’s neighbors, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

After the incident, a local disaster response team visited the site to clear up the debris as well as prevent more landslides from occurring by making temporary repairs.

The team’s coordinator Ahmad Supandi said the material damage in the incident amounted to some Rp 50 million (US$3,590).
