tate energy giant Pertamina lowered the price of non-subsidized gasoline by up to Rp 250 (2 US cents) per liter on Friday following a drop in the global crude oil price and the rupiah strengthening against the US dollar.
Under the new policy, the new price for Pertalite gasoline (RON 90) in Greater Jakarta is Rp 7,650 per liter, Pertamax (RON 92) is Rp 20,200 per liter and Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) Rp 12,000 per liter.
Meanwhile, prices for non-subsidized diesel fuel are Rp 11,750 per liter for Dex and Rp 10,300 per liter for Dexlite.
Pertamina retail marketing director Mas'ud Khamid said in a press statement that the price adjustment took effect on Saturday.
"We will continue to evaluate fuel prices periodically in accordance with the global crude price and the rupiah exchange rate in the global market," he said.
The company explained that fuel prices could differ in each region, depending on the regional fuel taxes. (bbn)
