art of a basketball court at an apartment complex in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, has collapsed into a canal connected to the Bojong River.
The head of neighborhood unit (RW) 02, Sunatama, said the incident at the Vittoria Residence apartment complex had happened on Saturday around 7 p.m.
"The collapsed material blocked the canal as the [court was] next to the river," Sunatama said on Monday, as quoted by kompas.com.
He said the water flow in the canal had been disrupted by the material.
Sunatama said he hoped the apartment complex management would cooperate with residents to take care of the problem, as it may cause severe flooding in the neighborhood. (gis)
