P

resenter duo Dimas Danang and Imam Darto revealed that they had to learn to play musical instruments for their roles as orchestra musicians in the upcoming movie PSP: Gaya Mahasiswa (PSP: University Student Style).

In the movie, which will hit theaters on Jan. 31, Danang plays the role of cellist James, while Darto plays guitarist Monos.

“We were asked to learn the instruments by Mas Hilman [the director], so the first thing we did was to read up on it. Look at Mas Darto doing his best to play the guitar,” Danang said as quoted by kompas.com.

Meanwhile, Danang has some experience in playing musical instruments, but he still had to learn to play the cello. He also had to attend a workshop on vocals.

“The character of James plays the cello in keroncong style, so I had to learn keroncong-style cello to make it more convincing,” Danang said.
