he Bekasi administration said it would close a section of Jl. KH Noer Ali (Kalimalang) near the Bekasi Cyber Park (BCP) intersection on July 31 to resume construction of the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road.

Bekasi Transportation Agency said the traffic reroute would affect those traveling to Jakarta in the area and those heading to the West Bekasi tollgate, Rawa Panjang and Pekayon.

“The traffic reroute for vehicles passing Jl. Mayor Hasibuan will begin at the Presdo intersection,” the agency said in its release on Friday.

The new traffic arrangement will be implemented outside rush hours. During rush hours, the agency will implement another arrangement, involving vehicles making a U-turn under an overpass in Pekayon.

The agency recorded that during rush hours, more than 8,300 small and large vehicles pass the area per hour, while the road capacity is less than half of that number.

The reroute will not affect motorists traveling on Jl. Mayor Hasibuan to the Patriot Candrabhaga Sports Stadium, Bekasi City Hall and Kranji. (dmy)
