he Indonesian Cyber Media Association (AMSI) is set to hold on Thursday its 2019 Indonesia Digital Conference, an annual conference that this year will focus on business development and the country’s digital environment.
AMSI head Wenseslaus Maggut said the conference, slated to take place at Djakarta Theater in Central Jakarta, will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, experiences and strategies to build a future digital ecosystem.
"Things that are impossible have been made possible in the digital era thanks to technological leaps forward and innovation. It's possible that companies that used to have competitive rivalries should now collaborate and work hand-in-hand to grow and develop their businesses, and move forward together," Wenseslaus said.
As a body that accommodates cyber media companies, he said that AMSI had been proactive in pushing for a healthy and competitive digital business ecosystem so it could create opportunities and improve people's welfare.
Chief organizer Metta Dharmasaputra said President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo was set to inaugurate the annual event and that the committee would set up four discussion panels, each with different themes.
The first panel will discuss corporate transformation in the era of Industry 4.0, with Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Task Force (SKK Migas) chairman Dwi Soetjipto, state-owned energy company Pertamina retail marketing head Mas'ud Khamid and CEO of Telkomsel Mitra Inovasi Andi Kristanto as the keynote speakers.
The second panel will discuss banking strategies in the digital era. The keynote speakers for this panel will be BNI consumer business director Anggoro Eko Cahyo, head of digital banking at DBS Bank Leonardo Koesmanto and director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Indra Utoyo.
The theme of the third panel will be the use of fintech to accelerate financial inclusiveness with Mandiri Capital CEO Eddie Danusaputra, OVO president director Karaniya Dharmasaputra and Investree chief information officer Dicky Wijaya as the keynote speakers.
The final panel will discuss the role of digital platforms in economic empowerment with Aruna CEO Farid Naufal Aslam, Tani Group president and cofounder Pamitra Wineka and Bakpiaku EEO Yudi Tri Sanjaya.
The event will also be attended by Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Teten Masduki, Research and Technology Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro and founder of Lippo Group Mochtar Riady. (nal)
