k Rae Yoon and Christian Lee met once again inside the Circle, this time in the main event of ONE 160 on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
This was Lee’s attempt to retrieve the ONE Lightweight World Championship he lost to Ok almost a year ago.
“The Warrior” was determined to leave as the victor this time around, immediately closing the distance and landing a barrage of blows. The 24-year-old finished Ok in the second round after completely dominating him throughout the fight, reclaiming the ONE Lightweight World Championship and a US$50,000 bonus.
The co-main event saw first-ranked contender Tang Kai strip former ONE Featherweight World Champion Thanh Le of his belt in a heated exchange.
For the opening moments, the two threw kicks and punches at each other with intent. Le was able to land strikes that knocked Tang off his feet. However, as the rounds progressed, both men upped the pressure, clearly seeking a knockout victory over the other.
Tang went on to deliver enough significant damage, dethroning Le to become the new ONE Featherweight World Champion.
