A Cianjur Police officer, Second. Insp. Erwin Yudha Wildani, passed away at the Jakarta Pertamina Central Hospital, where he had been admitted after he was accidentally doused with gasoline and set on fire during a protest.

Irvan Rivano Muchtar, a NasDem Party politician, has been named a suspect in a bribery case and is accused of asking for and receiving a significant portion of the regency’s Rp 46.8 billion (US$3.2 million) education special allocation fund (DAK).
