he police in Cidahu regency in Sukabumi, West Java, are trying to identify two bodies discovered in the wreckage of a burned-out car on Sunday.
The bodies were taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta for forensic examination, Sukabumi Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Nasriadi said.
“[We] will examine the bodies to find out their identities […] we have not yet been able to determine the victims’ genders or who they were,” Nasriadi said as quoted by kompas.com.
Preliminary investigations at the crime scene showed that the bodies had been reduced to an almost skeletal state, he said.
Residents of Pondokkaso Tengah village in Cidahu first noticed the burning car at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday on Jl. Cidahu-Parakansalak, the bodies were only revealed after the fire had died down. The police were then informed. (tru)
