View all search resultsAs the simultaneous presidential and legislative elections on Feb. 14 get nearer, more young people are volunteering as poll administrators (KPPS) to ease the burden of older volunteers in the light of the deaths of hundreds of poll workers in the previous elections in 2019.
As the deadline for applications passed on Dec. 20, a number of regional KPUs found they were faced with a shortage of local poll administrators (KPPS), which has been attributed in part to the deaths of almost 900 KPPS during the 2019 election.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) requires volunteers applying to be poll administrators during the upcoming general election to go through medical checkups, following the death of hundreds of poll workers in the previous election in 2019.
