Aulia Rakhman, a comedian from Lampung province, was found guilty of spreading hatred through stand-up jokes at a campaign event for presidential candidate Anies Baswedan in December, Lampung prosecutor's office spokesperson Ricky Ramadhan told AFP.
Aulia performed the skit before the main event, a public discussion between Anies and university students. His skit was recorded and shared on social media, inciting protests from Muslim viewers.
