Following months of protest by the Anies Baswedan camp concerning the possible manipulation of voter registration, the Jakarta Elections Commission (KPU Jakarta) has stripped the voting rights of more than 15,000 people in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU Jakarta) is set to engage the campaign teams of incumbent Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama – Djarot Saiful Hidayat and Anies Baswedan – Sandiaga Uno while distributing C6 voting invitation forms, which notify voters about the location and time they should vote.
With a 3 percent vote margin separating the two candidate pairs after the first round on Feb. 15, both Ahok-Djarot and Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno will work day and night to make sure every voter turns up for the second and final round to help them win.
