mirates has announced the completion of its Business Class lounge makeover, which reportedly cost US$11 million, at Concourse B of the Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.
The refurbishment includes three new concept areas – a barista experience, a health hub and a champagne lounge – complimentary for First and Business Class passengers, as well as those under the airline’s frequent flyer program.

The new lounge features a barista experience complete with pastries and beverages prepared by Costa Coffee baristas. Meanwhile, health-conscious travelers can look forward to nutritious meals, fruits and flavor-infused water in the health hub, thanks to a partnership between Emirates and Voss water. A Moët & Chandon champagne lounge is available for passengers needing to unwind before take off with products available including Moët Impérial, Moët Rosé Impérial, Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage and Moët Nectar Impérial.
The 930 square meter lounge that can accommodate over 1,500 people also sports new refreshment stations, a children’s play area and a spa space that offers hair, beauty and therapy treatments. Passengers can also expect to have a shower, rest in quite areas and stay connected thanks to the lounge's complimentary Wi-Fi.
Following the refurbishment, the airline plans to add more features to its lounges, including a sports bar and a cocktail bar. (mra/kes)
