unning until Nov. 6, Pekan Raya Indonesia (PRI) or the Indonesian Fair at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD, Tangerang, is not only known for its wide array of eateries and local band performances but also an eerie attraction inspired by a Hollywood horror movie.

Located at Hall 9, the Conjuring House terrifies its visitors by delivering one of the most petrifying characters from The Conjuring 2 movie, Valak. It also features zombies and Indonesia’s legendary ghosts like pocong (shrouded ghost) and kuntilanak (the spirit of  a woman who dies while pregnant).

Conjuring House production manager Maria said the attraction offered a different experience.“Besides presenting creepy ghosts that will chase down the visitors inside the venue, we also feature sound effects and supporting technology that will create an even more thrilling and surprising atmosphere,” she said in a press release.

Those who are too afraid to come into the house alone can request to be accompanied by  staff. While visitors who have entered the house but later decide not to go further can opt to exit the through the emergency exits.

Serving up to five people per session, the attraction is open to all ages with an entrance fee of Rp 50,000 (US$3) per person. (kes)
