T

ravelers can now utilize the Tourist Information Center (TIC) digital service to obtain information related to domestic tourism as they wait for flights at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport’s Terminal 3.

The service, which was introduced earlier this week, is part of a collaboration agreement between state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II, the Tourism Ministry and the Transportation Ministry. It offers information on various domestic destinations, particularly related to the Wonderful Indonesia and Pesona Indonesia brands.

“In the future, Terminal 3 will accommodate every international flight at Soekarno-Hatta, so the TIC will play an important role in promoting tourist destinations in various regions,” said Muhammad Awaluddin, president director of PT Angkasa Pura II, in an official statement.

“We hope that the service standard for flight passengers, which includes tourists, will also increase as the digital-based service increases,” he added.

Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya has expressed optimism that the TIC will become a tourism “super mall” that will enable foreign tourists to make reservations and payments directly after they have obtained information on the destinations. (mas/kes)
