PD (Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Bali's Association of Recreational Parks (PUTRI) held an exhibition titled Tourism Gebyar 2017 at the Beachwalk Kuta on Oct. 6-8.

The event reportedly attracted a total of 40,000 visitors per day and it goes to show that the popular tourists areas in Bali are safe from the potential eruption of Mount Agung.

Ngurah Rai International Airport still runs as usual and popular destinations such as Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Beratan Bedugul Lake, Tampak Siring Castle, Bali Safari and Marine Park, Garuda Wisnu Kencana, Sanur Beach, Benoa Cape, Gajah Cave, Nusa Penida Area and Kuta Beach are also safe and ready to welcome tourists.

The event’s coordinator I Gusti Agung Ngurah Kertiyasa said the 15 participants expressed their satisfaction toward the exhibition. "Hopefully Tourism Gebyar 2017 could change the people’s mindset and promote tourism in Bali."

“This is also the place for the 15 tenants consisting of zoos, adventure companies, Luwak coffee, entertainment and tourist destinations to conduct direct marketing. Hopefully this event can be held routinely but with different themes because there are still plenty of lesser-known tourist destinations in Bali,” he added. (kes)
