hose who are thinking of visiting Fantasy World (Dufan) on Nov. 26 should cancel their plans because the amusement park at Ancol Dreamland Park in North Jakarta announced it would be closed for a private event. 

"On November 26, a group from a telecommunication company would be visiting Dufan. It would just be that one day. Dufan would be open as usual before and after November 26," Rika Lestari, Ancol Dreamland Park’s spokesperson, said on Wednesday, according to kompas.com.

The park had also announced the closure on their official Instagram account.

Rika said the company had scheduled a family gathering to entertain about 13,000 people. The spokesperson further added that other visitors would be still be able to enjoy the remaining entertainment hubs in Ancol, including Seaworld Ancol, Atlantis Water Adventure, Ocean Dream Samudra, the beach and Fauna Land.

Dufan remains a favorite destination for Ancol visitors. It recently introduced new games, namely Playgroup and Color of Kingdom. In December, it also opened Time Adventures and Galactica. 

The amusement park is selling discounted tickets from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15, costing Rp 100,000 (US$ 7.39) for weekdays and Rp 150,000 for weekends. The tickets can be purchased via its website (www.promodufan). It is also selling yearly passes for Rp 325,000. (liz/asw)
