North Central Timor (TTU) in East Nusa Tenggara is known to host events such as crossborder music concerts or horse racing.
However, this regency also has several must-visit tourist attractions such as Tanjung Bastian Beach that is located 67 kilometers north of Kefamenanu City.
Around one hour trip using public transportation, the beach regularly hosts regional and international events, including the Crossborder Horse Racing.
It is said that the horse racing track here is the most beautiful track in Indonesia.
The region also has Wini Beach in North Insana district. It only takes one hour to reach this white-sand beach that is one of the leading destinations in TTU.
Apart from beaches, TTU also has Bitauni Cave, a pilgrimage location for Catholics in Atambua. Situated around 34 km from the city, this place is located on a rocky hill, sheltered by tropical forest and hidden under weeping fig trees. (kes)
