Singapore Airlines' low-cost carrier Scoot made its maiden flight from Singapore to Berlin on Wednesday.
ingapore Airlines' low-cost, long-haul subsidiary Scoot completed its inaugural flight from Singapore to Berlin on Wednesday with 311 passengers on board.
The TR734 flight departed from Changi International Airport at 12:25 a.m. local time, arriving at Berlin Tegel Airport at 7:20 a.m. local time to a traditional water cannon welcome salute.
A Scoot press release stated that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner carried passengers from several countries, including Singapore, Indonesia and Australia, half of who were between 18 and 35 years old.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner was equipped with various facilities, such as inflight Wi-Fi, in-seat USB ports and the airline's ScooTV entertainment service.
The Singapore-Berlin route is the airline’s third long-haul flight, a service which Scoot CEO Lee Lik Hsin said was growing steadily.
The Singapore-Berlin route is a direct flight that operates four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The airline offers several flights to Berlin for Indonesian passengers, starting at Rp 6,328,568 (US$448.47) for flights departing from Jakarta, Rp 6,943,568 from Denpasar, Rp 6,779,568 from Surabaya, Rp 6,298,568 from Palembang and Rp 6,388,568 from Pekanbaru. (jes/wng)
