oris Johnson will enter the race to replace Liz Truss as British prime minister, Northern Ireland Secretary Chris Heaton Harris told Sky News on Sunday, saying the former leader had enough support from lawmakers to pass the 100-vote threshold.
Asked if Johnson would run, Heaton Harris said: "Yes, I think so."
"We do have the numbers... that's not an issue."
On Saturday, Johnson landed back in Britain on Saturday after cutting short a Caribbean holiday to enter the race to replace Truss as Conservative leader, UK media reported.
It would mark an audacious attempt to return to power by Johnson, who only left office early last month, after dozens of resignations from his government following a slew of scandals led to his departure.
