"Putin publicly acknowledged ordering missile strikes on Ukrainian civilians and energy infrastructure," spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko wrote on Twitter.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday Russia should be expelled from the Group of 20 major economies and President Vladimir Putin’s invitation to a G20 summit in Bali next month must be revoked.
"Putin publicly acknowledged ordering missile strikes on Ukrainian civilians and energy infrastructure," spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko wrote on Twitter.
"With his hands stained in blood, he must not be allowed to sit at the table with world leaders. Putin’s invitation to Bali summit must be revoked, and Russia expelled from G20."
Last week, Putin said that he had not yet decided whether to attend next month's G20 summit in Bali.
The Russian leader added that if he does not go to the summit, scheduled for 15-16 November, he would send a high-level Russian delegation in his place.
Earlier, President Joe Biden has "no intention" to meet with Putin next month while attending the G20 summit, the White House said.
"He has no intention to sit down with Vladimir Putin and that's where we are today," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said.
Biden has previously said he has no plans to meet with Putin at the summit being held in Bali. It is not confirmed yet whether Putin will attend.
