KRI Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat passed through the Great Bitter Lake on Monday afternoon, as monitored through vessel tracking website vesselfinder.com.
Sailing under the Egypt Goodwill/Port Call 2024 mission, the Dr. Radjiman Wedyodiningrat was scheduled to dock at the Egyptian port of El Arish on Friday, but because of the general election in Egypt, the arrival has been postponed to Wednesday.
The ship is carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The humanitarian aid will be unloaded and then distributed to Gaza through the Egyptian Red Crescent.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have suffered near constant bombardment from Israel since the Oct. 7 surprise attack by the Hamas militant group.
The Gaza-based Health Ministry reported on Saturday that the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli strikes had surpassed 28,000.
