The Indonesian embassy in Amman, Jordan, has set a level 1 alert for Israel and Palestine. Meanwhile, the embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, has set the same alert level for southern Lebanon.
Furthermore, the Indonesian embassy in Tehran, Iran, has placed the country on a less severe level 2 alert, the same status held by other parts of Lebanon not bordering Israel.
“Our representatives in the Middle East have been formulating the contingency plans to anticipate further escalations,” Judha Nugraha, the Foreign Ministry’s citizen protection director, said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
