An education expo roadshow is halfway through its tour of four Indonesian cities.

Initiated by marketing and public relations company MSW Global, the fifth edition of the World Education Expo Indonesia 2016 was kicked off at the Bandung Alliance Intercultural School in Bandung, West Java, on Oct. 7, and continued at the Balai Kartini in South Jakarta on Oct. 8-9 before moving to Aryaduta Hotel in Medan, North Sumatra, on Oct. 10 and Sheraton Hotel Surabaya in East Java on Oct. 12.

Targeting 10,000 students, the education fair’s exhibition includes 100 university representatives from countries around the globe, including Malaysia, Japan, Spain, Ireland, the US and South Korea. It is also supported by several embassies, such as the Embassy of France, the Netherlands Embassy and Malaysian Embassy.

In addition to the exhibition, the expo also hosts seminars that introduce the education system from each participating country and scholarship requirements.

MSW Global operation director Anastasya Sri told The Jakarta Post that the company also planned to hold a World Education Festival in February next year. “The festival will focus on a career talk to guide students in choosing the most suitable job,” she said. (kes)
