ans of legendary British rock band Queen may rejoice as the band's biopic is set to start filming soon, according to Queen's official website.
Titled Bohemian Rhapsody, the film’s pre-production is scheduled to begin this week in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the principal photography is slated to take place in London in mid-September.
Directed by award-winning director Bryan Singer (Valkyrie, X-Men: Days of Future Past), the team cast Egyptian-American actor Rami Malek to portray the band's lead vocalist Freddie Mercury. Malek is particularly recognized for his role in TV series Mr. Robot.

“Rami has a great presence and is utterly dedicated to the project. He is completely living and breathing Freddie already, which is wonderful,” said the band's lead guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.
The team has yet to reveal the actors who will play the roles of May and Taylor in the movie, but the two will reportedly be the film’s executive music producers.
Rumors about the film had been around for quite a while. However, the official confirmation was only made on Friday. (jes/kes)
